How it started - From Delhi Streets to Design Sprints
Born and raised in the chaos and charm of Delhi, my love for design began at the College of Art, and never looked back. I started out as a graphic designer, working with advertising agencies and design studios to understand how ideas take shape in the real world.
In 2014, joining ixigo marked a turning point—I discovered product design and immersed myself in it as a self-taught designer. That experience gave me the foundation (and obsession) to build for scale, impact, and usability. Since then, I’ve been learning each day, designing with intent, and helping fast-paced startups shape meaningful user experiences.
The Journey (So Far)
Beyond Work
Beyond the screen, I’m often on the road with a podcast playing, discovering new places, flavors, cities, chasing sunsets that spark inspiration.
Lately, I’ve been hooked on board games — with "Catan" and "Blood on the Clocktower" being my current obsessions.
Swimming and meditation keep me grounded, offering the calm that balances the creative chaos of everyday design life.
Team Management
I bring structure, clarity, and momentum to the way teams work. I believe good design needs both space to think and systems to move.
01
Vision & Direction
I set a clear, purpose-driven design vision that aligns with product and business goals. I help my team see the big picture and stay focused on outcomes, not just outputs.
02
Design Sprints and Standups
I follow a sprint-based approach to maintain focus and velocity, supported by daily standups to drive transparency and unblock progress. Regular design grooming and refinement sessions help us prioritize well, spot gaps early, and deliver with confidence.
03
Regular Feedbacks
It’s not just about timelines - it’s about creating a rhythm where collaboration thrives, feedback flows, and every designer feels supported to do their best work.
04
People & Growth
I prioritize mentorship and individual growth. I create space for designers to take ownership, experiment confidently, and grow into their best selves.
05
Adaptability & Evolution
I stay flexible and open to change. I continuously reflect on how we work as a team and evolve our process based on what’s working, what’s not, and where we want to go next.
06
Culture & Creativity (My fav)
Celebrating wins, however small, is part of how we stay motivated.
My Design Approach
Every great product starts with curiosity and empathy. My process is flexible but rooted in principles -balancing user needs, business goals, and craft. Here’s how I typically bring ideas to life:
01
Discover Needs
I begin with understanding the problem — through user research, stakeholder conversations, and market scans. This phase is all about asking the right questions.
02
Define
I synthesize insights into clear problem statements, user personas, and journey maps. It helps align everyone on what we’re solving and why.
03
Ideate
Time to explore! I sketch, wireframe, and brainstorm multiple directions — testing early hypotheses before jumping into detailed design.
04
Design
I craft high-fidelity UI with a focus on clarity, usability, and delight — ensuring it aligns with brand and accessibility standards.
05
Prototype & Test
Clickable prototypes help validate flows and micro-interactions. I test with real users (and often internally), iterating based on feedback.
06
Collaborate & Ship
Working closely with engineers and PMs, I refine details, document specs, and ensure the final build matches the vision. No pixels left behind.
07
Reflect & Iterate
Post-launch, I track usage, gather feedback, and continuously optimize — because good design is never really done.
